help! weird noise from computer....

ok...i built my computer about 6 months ago and about a month or two ago it started makin this weird noise when im playin a game or doin somethin that takes up memory like burnin an atrac3 cd...the noise is like bee boo bee boo bee boo..like a really annoying ringtone...anyone got any ideas? ....thanks...

It could be a message from outter space saying, "YOUR COMPUTER NEEDS MORE RAM/BIGGER POWER SUPPLY" But thats just me

oh oops i fixed that like 10 or 20 minutes after i posted. i think it was my processor overheating. i popped open my comp and took off the processor fan and that big chunk of metal used for cooling and holy crap that metal was blazing hot. burnt my hand on it. and the fan was covered in dust. so i cleaned off the fan, and let the metal cool off by sittin on my windowcell while i had a cigarette out my window. and after it cooled down i popped it back in and looked to see that the fan was actually on and it works now. im guessing that the fan wasnt on so it overheated...or it was on just wasn't workin too well cuz of all the dust...yup....

I hope for your sake you cleaned the bottom of hte heatsink (the metal thing).. and applied more thermal compound. If not, you'll be ready for an upgrade soon.
