Something Is Fried

I think something is fried in my brother's computer because when I was helping my dad wire his house my brother was stupid and kept his computer on. Now it just hangs at the BIOS screen and displays what kind of processor is in it. The small light on the front lights up red, which I assume is in indication of a problem, but I can't even get into the BIOS setup. I press delete to get into the BIOS configuration and there's no response from the keyboard. It's not that the keyboard is broken either. I'm really at a loss. I'm thinking either the processor or the motherboard got fried, but I really don't have any hard evidence and I'm merely going on trivial information as of now. I'm just trying to get some feedback that will help me narrow down the problem so I can replace it so he will shut up. Thanks in advance.
