DVD problems...

Hi! I own an hp pavillion zv5000 laptop with an DVD/CD recording drive(TOSHIBA).My OS is XP Home and my recording software is Nero Burning Rom 6x. Nero`s system informations keeps telling me that i can use DVD+R disks.Recently bought myself a brand new pack of TDK DVD´S (+R) but each time i try to create a data DVD I keep getting the message that the disk its not a valid one (tryed all the 25 of them)... Drving me nuts here...any sugestions...? Appreaciate some help plz... Tks in advance José Neto-Portugal

Try this go to "Properties" and then to the "Recording" tab to enable it to record, the default maybe unenabled
