My D drive has stopped responding

My D drive has stopped responding

My D drive has stopped responding when I put disks in it starts to loud and then a static noise comes out and it stops. Any solutions?

You may have to get a replacement if you can't see anything damaged, like the top cover of the drive, crushed into the platter. C/D Roms are cheap now.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.
