"Tricks of the Trade"

Post by Xitech »

Yay! a cool place to put all of these neat little tricks that almost fit in a category but don't really make it. I was hoping everyone could contribute to this, since if would be pretty fun to learn how other people rig their systems to work just right. I have a pretty cool one to start out with: I decided I was going to network a couple computers together, something done with a crossover cable (which I know know about thanks to this) Me, being noobish about networking like I was back then, bought a 50ft patch cable and tried to use that. When I found out a few days later that wires needed to be changed, I pulled out a pocket knife and a roll of scotch tape and made myself a crossover cable.
