when rebooting, graphics fault
when rebooting, graphics fault
when I shut my computer down, the monitor displays a no signal. To correct this fault I have to disconnect every cable form the back of my computer and start up just with my key board, monitor and mouse connected. The monitor then receives a signal and boots up. I then reconnect each usb cable eternet cable and tv card, then the system runs ok.
If I restart my system not shutdown the graphics on the monitor are corrupted, has any body got any ideas?

Well, all I could tell you is not to restart your computer. Probably a video card issue though.

How I meant that is to shut down the computer instead of acutally restarting. It might br bad for the hd in the long run but if you have a better answer feel free to post, no one is stopping you.

Ok try this , you say if you start up you're computer with just the basics connected it will boot up correctly, but if you have USb ect. connected it doesn't. Get the computer to boot up correctly and connect one thing at a time (USB), now try another boot up. Connect only one at a time and remember the results, if it boots or not. You may be able to figgure out what is causeing the no boot problem. If connecting any outside things cause a no boot, you may want to check the power supply. It may be not able to handle the increased load.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.
