Random Black screen?

Random Black screen?
Sometimes during general pc use, the screen freezes then goes black for about 5 seconds...sometimes it comes back to how it was befor and sometimes it goes to sleep mode, and the only way to get it back again is to reboot the whole system...
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Your video card could be lose, or the monitor could just be getting old. Try taking off the cover from your computer then reinserting the video card.
