End of the Year CPUs Update

Intel, the CPU giant, plans to launch their secret weapon at the end of 2004.
This is Pentium 5 codenamed Tejus.
It will feature 24KB of Cache 1, 1MB of Cache 2, and 2MB of Cache 3 (C3 only for Extreme Edition). It will have a 800MHz (200MHz) FSB and run at a blazing 3.6GHz.
Of course, Intel's dreadest enemy, AMD will launch their Athlon 64 FX-55 (Socket 939) which will feature 128KB of Cache 1 and 1MB of Cache 2. It will run at 2.6GHz but will be rated to run software up to Pentium 4 4.3GHz rated.
The reason:
Athlon 64 4000 (Socket 939) has 512KB of Cache 2. Thats the only difference between these two s. AMD increases the performance rating 300 points for:
a: 200MHz Increase in Clock Speed
b: Change from Socket 754 to 939 (Single Channel DDR to Dual Channel DDR)
c: Change from 512KB of Cache 2 to 1MB of Cache 2
Thus AMD's Athlon 64 FX-55 will be 1GHz slower than the latest Pentium, but will have a performance of 700MHz greater.

AMD's final CPU- Athlon 64 FX-55 (2.6GHz, 128KB C1, 1MB C2, 4300MHz Rated)
Intel's final CPU- Pentium 4 4.0GHz Prescott EE (800MHz FSB, 16KB C1, 1MB C2)
Intel has better objectives to keep them and Intel tied.
The AMD K9 series should break this tie.
