Problem: CN-PCIUSB card in a Canyon 6LEBMS-T mobo

I have a problem installing a new CN-PCIUSB card into Canyon CN-6LEBMS-T motherboard. My guess is the problem is of the motherboard defect and/or MB/system misconfiguration. I've contacted the Canyon support by email, but still no reply. OS is Windows 2000, SP4, all the latest WindowsUpdates installed PCI cards: PCI1=PCIUSB PCI2=LAN card PCI3=empty After connecting my new USB device, scanner CanoScan 8400F, to any of the new 4 PCI-USB ports I hear a conflict between onboard audio and the scanner. After a fresh reboot (while audio is not used), the scanner works with random scratches heard from the audio output. Right after using audio (playing some sounds), the scanner stops responding. Using them simultaneously always makes the scanner to stop working, while audio still works. I see no conflicts shown in the DeviceManager window. But I see many devices on the same IRQ=11: VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM) VIA Tech VT8361/VT8601 Graphics Controller VIA USB Enhanced Controller Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller VIA USB Universal Host Controller VIA USB Universal Host Controller VIA USB Universal Host Controller VIA USB Universal Host Controller - all of them show IRQ=11. (I'm not too tech-savvy at PCI IRQ Steering / Sharing.) Connecting the scanner to any of the old USB1.1 ports (onboard) works without problems. Inserting the same PCIUSB card into another Socket A based motherboard (DFI AK74-EC), which similarly has an integrated VIA AC'97 Audio, works on the first attempt (VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM), LAN card, AGP video card, and all USB Controllers being on the same IRQ11). Music / sounds can be played without interrupts while scanning; no scratching sounds or anything. I have already tried removing the LAN PCI add-on card from Canyon 6LEBMS-T, and putting the PCIUSB card alone in each of the 3 PCI slots available in the MB, but still no luck. Symptoms are: whenever audio plays some sounds (occupies some system resource?), the USB2.0 device in action (scanner) gets disconnected (resulting in the hang up of the associated scanning program, showing up with the TWAIN error / scanner disconnected messages). Could someone please help me?

Curiously, I've found out that Canyon CN-6LEBMS-T is in fact DFI CM33-TC, just another marketing name. So I have downloaded and installed the latest VIA Hyperion 4in1 and Audio drivers as listed in mobo support site, and afterwards even tried out the ones listed in the VIA support. Yet no luck. Removing all USB controllers, disabling onboard USB from BIOS, and then reinstalling PCIUSB adapter, doesn't solve it neither. In Windows though, after disabling VIA USB Enhanced Host controller (without restarting), which also removes USB2.0 Root Hub item, but still leaves the scanner listed in the DeviceManager\ImagingDevices, the port is functioning, but it's running at usb1.1 speed only. And the sound card is working without a conflict in this slow mode. Considering the somewhat existent similarity in DFI CM33-TC and DFI AK74-EC (similar chipset PLE133T/686B vs. KT133/686B, built in AC 97 audio), similar system configurations (IRQ distributions) I feel really choked about it. Especially when I don't know where to get those PIRQ tables from. After all, I have tried all 3 slots (leaving other 2 empty) in my motherboard, and none has worked.
