'can't find server' but I'm the only one

trying to access a web outlook corporate email server, tried 3 browsers (IE, AOL, Firefox) - none can do it. Connected through DSL modem with Qwest.net on a WinME PC. Using a nearby laptop with dial-up AOL, no problem. Qwest says they don't block, corporate IT says they don't either. Personnel at Qwest can access site. Reset internet parameters to default and cleared temp files and cookies - no luck. Tried minimum security settings for everything I could find - no luck. Can ping the site successfully. Not a computer person, but have tried advice I've been given. Internet access works fine for any other site. Anyone have a clue about this? regards, Mike

If I'm reading the brief status bar messages, the server is being found but the communication eventually aborts unsuccessfully.
