computer shuts down while playing games

hello about a month ago i was using flash 2004 which i have been using for year now and my computer just turned off with out warning , i then tryed to turn it back on but couldnt do so wih out swiching the mains off several times and the unplugging my computer. it then hapend every 10 minutes into using flash so i havent used flash for sometime now i then brought a game splinter cell and played it for 10 mins and the same thing happened repeatedly. i read on some other forums that i might be a problem with my graphics card or mobo over heating so i thought i need a new card so i brounght a x700 radeon going cheap (fx 5200 old one). after puttng it in a running the game it was fine and the graphics were much better but then it took 20 mins before the same thing happened. it now happens all the time when i play any game counter skrike or whatever. can please some one give me some idea of haw to sort out the problem. hear is my bios info if it helps bios version k758x bios p2.20 type AMD Athlon XP 2800+ speed 2083 mhz cpu temp 64 'C / 147 'F m/b temp 36 'C / 96 'F cpu fan speed 4722 rpm Vcore 1.609 V +3.30V 3.405V +5.00V 5.029V +12.00V 12.322V ive seen lots of answers to this problem on other forums but they dont spesify exactly what do do coz i dont know were to start any help would be ace

I would suspect that during playing games you are overheating you're computer system. The best way to cure this is install better cooling. Things you can do, install extra case fans, install a cooling unit in a empty 5 1/4" drive bay, put heat speaders on you're ram. The ram could also be suspect, if you are running barging basement type ram , this may be good for most computer apps, but when gameing you crash. Get a better quality ram, like OCZ, Corsair, or GeIL. Above all, make sure you clean inside and mak sure the fans work, cables aren't blocking air flow to CPU, memory, or the video card

I'm not an expert in this field, but I would suggest trying to check you're cooling system settings as well. It may not be set right.
