view both laptop cpu and desktop cpu on my laptop monitor?

Post by karonc »

I would like to pirate my home monitor for my office. This would save me some space in my very small home. I have a laptop, but I'd also like to have access to my deskktop cpu (without its large, accompanying monitor). Is there a way to set it up so that I can view both the laptop cpu and the desktop cpu on my laptop monitor? Thanks in advance.

Without knowing the specifics of your laptop (brand, video card etc..) I would think that your video card would need to have ViVo (video in, video out). This setup should allow you to plug a video input device into the laptops video card, and enable it to act as the monitor for the desktop.

If you've got XP Pro why not try remote destop otherwise you could try VNC.
