advisable to leave casing off

i recently had a problem which ment my computer turned off after ten mins of playing a game so i took the side casing off and it sorted the problem. should i just leave my case off forever now? or is this just a stupid question

You're problem is heat related, please view this link also. http://www.computerbb.org/viewtopic.php?p=9614 You can leave the case open, but you leave you're self open to dropping something in it, damage, or tampering. Some cases you will also disrupt the cooling flow without the case.
