Applications Not Starting
I recently installed the game Anarchy Online, a mmorpg. Almost every time in the middle of playing it, my computer restarts I think from overheating. Then for the past couple of days it stopped doing that. But, when I would turn off my computer and turn it back on and log on to my windows xp account, there would be a window that says something like "your computer just recovered from a serious error." I tried finding out what it was but I am not the greatest with computers... Now, just today, when I turned on the computer and logged into my account I was able to turn on the internet but I could not open Msn messenger, AIM, or Internet Explorer. My computer hard drive just kept clicking away but doing nothing. Then, I went on to other accounts (one that i am on now) on my computer and everything with the internet worked fine! I was thinking it shouldn't be a virus because it only affected my account...Please I need help to know if this is a serious error or something that might go away! Thanks!!

Do you have a good virus program if so I would run it with all current updates, Then get AdAware, Spybot, , download them and update the sig's, and run. If you still have the problem let us know. Both programs are free, and you can get free virus scans online too.

confused
uhhg i am scanning my whole computer right now, but i dont think i can uninstall the game because i dont have the install folder anymore... i think i need to like reinstall the whole game or something. i really think that it is the game because i played the game on another account (since it was installed and showed up on all accounts) and it did the same thing after i turned the computer off and back on. i am so scared now
