Computer laggs (don't know why)

Post by ColoAvalanche »

HP Pavilion a320n AMD Athlon XP 2800+ overclocked @ 2.6 GHz (still had problems when it wasn't overclocked) 512 MB PC2700 RAM 120GB Ultra DMA HDD 256 MB Asus Radeon A9250 GE (lagged when I had a 64 MB GeForce 4MX too) The computer laggs whatever I do. When I move the pointer, it'll stuck for a tenth of a second every second (pisses me off) and games run at far from their potential even if it is an old game (they will stuck like the pointer too). I know it shouldn't be like that with a system like mine... I did things like system scan, adware scan but they find nothing bad. Tips/advices/suggestions, please? Edit: Don't ask me to run programs like 3DMark and other benchmark things... doesn't work

It's a virus. And it will destroy your computer if it isn't treated, I know this from personal experience. It is in your system32 folder.

Sorry for the late reply (computer didn't work...) OK, I have Norton Antivirus 2005 and it doesn't find anything... Should I format?
