Deleted CLSID Registry - Cant bypass log on screen

Post by roboto »

Alright, this was a pretty noob thing of me to do but, I was trying to get rid of a trojan deleting some registry keys, and I deleted the whole CLSID registry on accident. While trying to restart my computer I get to the log on screen, and the only thing there is the WindowsXP logo. There is no picture for my username, or place to enter my password or any other options. I can get it to go into all the Safe Modes and the Last known configuration, but there's no way for me to get pass the log on screen since there isnt anything to enter. It isn't frozen or anything though, I cant still move my mouse around. I dont think theres anyway to get to a cmd prompt without logging in and I dont want to reformat because I have valuable information on here. Any Suggestions? Would this prog (EBCD – Emergency Boot CD) do me any good:http://ebcd.pcministry.com/?

You can reinstall windows, that will not delate any files, it will just repair them.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.
