Mouse and keyboard problem..

I've had my wireless keyboard and mouse for 2 years now i think and i've never had this problem before, here's the problem: When i hold down a key on the keyboard (for example when i'm playing a game) my mouse gets laggy (or it stops completely) until i realease the key i was holding down, it's been like this for one week now and i'm getting really annoyed. I have this problem even if i have the keyboard and the mouse on different channels (infact it seems as if it gets worse). If anyone knows how to fix this i would really appreciate the help

See if fresh batteries will do the trick. Also, try moving the wireless sensor/transmitter around, to see if it is being affected by any kind of interference.
