low disk space
low disk space
Hi guys,
I'm a total newbee where computers are concerned and hope you can help!
I've had another disk drive fitted because the other was old and small (4gb). However the computer keeps telling me I'm running out of space on the c drive-although I always save new stuff onto the new f drive. I keep clearing down the drive but it happens again! My question is-Is there any way I can set up the new f drive as the default drive as it has so much free space (34gb)?
Hope you can help.
Cheers
Jay
Yes. It is rather easy way to set up the new f drive as the default drive. Some times ago I had the same problem, I was recommended to use drive image and I'd like to propose it to you. Just create an exact image of your old HDD then restore it onto new one. So you'll get default drive and save all your data.
But if your new drive has already full, you may use partition manager.
At first you create 2 partitions on you f drive, for example 17Gb each other. One you'll fill up with data, another will stay clean. Then restore your OS drive image onto clean partition.[/url]
