xp pro 64 bit and other O.S help please!

Hello everyone. I have just bought a new computer and it has come with xp pro 64bit installed. I understand that this is new and a lot of drivers havent been created for it yet but is it a wize idea for me to use it? I would prefer to just use a version of xp home because i like to keep things simple. Also, can anyone tell me how to change the operating system on a pc and how this effects lisenceing. I hope you can help me becuase i am really stuck with this. Thanks very much. Richard.
