What is the problem here....

Post by Tankgrrl »

My computer was working normally until this morning when I turned it on. It wouldn't go past the WinXP Pro loading screen, and just said 'No Signal Input' (everything was on, internet lights were active, etc.). I booted in safe mode and uninstalled my video card drivers and the problem was fixed. When I reinstalled the drivers the same thing happened. What is causing the problem? My PC is as follows: AthlonXP 3000+ 333FSB Gigabyte 7VT600PRZC Motherboard BFG GeForce 6600GT OC WD Raptor 36GB 1024mb RAM Antec 480 PSU

What happens if you run without the supplied drivers? You didn't say if this was a new card or the one that was working for awhile. If this is a older one, try doing a system restore 0and see what happens.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.

The video card was newly installed on July 12, and had been working flawlessly up until this morning. I don't normally turn off my computer at night, but this time I did... and now I have this problem. I tried system restore and it didn't fix the problem. I don't have any video card drivers installed right now, and there is no onboard video so AGP is my only source of display (scrolling through web pages is VERY slow right now).
