Prescott Temps.

Post by Aggressor Prime »

We have seen a Prescott endure high 70Cs in a water cooling setup. But how will it react to the most powerful cooling the public can buy, vapor cooling! Well, while I was surfing the net, I came to an article using the Asetek LightSpeed, the most powerful vapor cooler out there. The guy tested the cooling of two CPUs, the Pentium 4 2.4C and the Pentium 4 3.0E.

This is a little information on the LightSpeed's performance:
Cooling performance load/idle 240W @ -25,5'C / 0W @ -48'C

Here are the temperatures.

Notice that the Pentium 4 2.4C has a rather good temperature. But the Prescott is unreasonable! -18C @ standard settings and -11C @ 4.0GHz is breathtaking. That is the temperatures you get with TEC units, NOT vapor cooling units!

Well, I thought I would like to share this with you guys. 8)
