Strange Restarting and Freezing

Post by AmaD »

Lately my PC has done a good job of just freezing completely every now for no reason whatsoever. Also, it restarts itself for no reason sometimes :?

I have the MSN plus! Patchou version which I'm aware of is spyware. (To the extent of a toolbar, i think)

This is annoying and often happens when I'm half way through a game, though a few times now it's done it when nothing is really open. I'll do a virus scan with Norton 2005 but it doesn't seem to find anything...

Has anyone had this problem or could anyone give me a remedy to this problem? Thanks

I'm running Windows Xp Pro. I haven't tried any over clocking lately, and my FSB and so on are the same according to programs such as Everest Home ed.

AmaD the spyware is OPTIONAL... hehe, you've got to pay attention during the installation though (i recommend you uninstall and reinstall while paying attention :P) [i know because it has happened to me ;)]
