To stop the Blue Screen of Death from disappearing, follow these instructions:
-Right-click on My Computer
-Choose Properties
-Click the Advanced tab
-Under Startup and Recovery, click the Settings button
-Make sure that "write an event to the system log" and "Send an administrative alert" are CHECKED
-UNCHECK "Automatically restart"
-Hit OK, next time the Blue Screen appears, write down the first few lines of the message.
-Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base for your error and for tips on how to fix it.
Now the Blue Screen will stay on the screen whenever Windows crashes. You can always go back and re-check that box if you like (or if your PC crashes a lot).
