I'm having a similar problem. This happened to my computer and I had my friend fix it but now it's happened again and I'm stuck. He said all he did was fix some wires or something but I don't know anything about the interior of a computer and now he's off on a trip for his company. Is there something that could have come undone or been switched off inside or something? If so where exactly would I have to look to find what I'm looking for? Sorry for all the questions and none specific, but like I said I know very little about the inner workings of computer hardware. I only know what I'm doing while working with the computer while it's on.

edit: I forgot to mention that my friend is the one who built the computer and there are occasionally problems like this but most deal with crashes and such, nothing like this before.
