Problems Booting Up After Adding Another Harddrive

Post by Lman »

Well, I was trying to help someone out at work after their computer wasn't working any more. I wanted to try to recover the files off of her hard drive. I brought it home on my machine and tried hooking it up as a slave. Didn't work, so I took it out and now my machine won't boot up. It ask if I want to start in safe mode and all those options. Then shows the windows start up screen and then reboots. I can't get past that screen. I've tried all the options as far as safemode, not safemode, etc.

Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks,
Lman

Why don't you try putting the other drive back in as a slave, then from the Hardware Manager, uninstall the HDD. Will that work?
