Hey everyone!
i have a problem with rundll32 eating up cpu, when sometimes i'd look in the active processes list and it would be using 98 percent of the cpu. obviously the computer slows down to an irritating level... gotta terminate the process, and then everything's fine. any idea what causes this to happen ?
AMD Athlon 2400
768 RAM
WinXP
Thanks...

ok i used to have the same problem with rundll32 not very familiar with the whole thing but familiar with it enough to know it is like a viruse " I would guess that it gets in through files downloaded off of the internet so i would watch out if i where you to get rid of this problem though i do not what might work
Microsoft just purchased an anti viruse program it is called ( Microsoft Anti Spyware ) it works better than any other spyware removeing program i have ever seen even better that spybot S&D just go to http://www.microsoft.com and click on downloads and you should see microsoft anti spyware it is a free program that work very very well and i am very pickey about what programs i trust off of the net, I pretty much do not trust any downloadable file off of a website unless it is a major company or something i have previously tried befor hope this helps you . if you have an IBM TP it's probably the Battery MaxiMiser. Try this:
