Opteron 252 - Huge Upgrade

The Opteron 252 will not only be clocked at 2.6GHz, but it will also have 1000MHz Hyper Transport lines, SSE3 technology, and it will be built on a 90nm design. This is the first Opteron to be built with a 1000MHz HT. It is also the first AMD CPU to have SSE3 technology which was before found in only Intel chips. Lastly, this is the first top-of-the-line chip from AMD to feature a 90nm design. More here.
