ram errors

Post by person1121 »

I took out the ram on my comuter to find out who made it and everything but now when I put it back in it doesn't quite fit all the way and when i turn my computer on it makes a long beep then a pause then another beep and so on. I am starting to get fustrated. Any advice?

Hi, the long beeps you are hearing are a result of the RAM not being seated correctly. A motherboard and RAM can take a lot more stick than most people think, give it a good hard shove and you should hear a click/clunk noise when it's in all the way. Also, make sure the clips at either end of the RAM slot are OPEN not closed. Give it a try, post back if it works!!!
