First black screen, then won't turn on

I woke up this morning and turned on my computer only to find that nothing came up. The screen was black and the monitor light flashed. This happened before and I had to send it back for repairs, but now my warranty is done and I don't know how they fixed it last time. After messing around with my hardware trying to fix it, I tried to turn it on again but now it won't even start. Just my luck. Any help would be highly appreciated.
