Slow Boot

Hi, im using XP Pro and its taking ages to start up, it stays on the BIOS screen for about 5 minutes is there anything i can do to speed it up, thanks in advance

Ok this sounds like its either a virus that has attacked main files, your pc's full or rubbish or you have a corrupt file in system 32 first i would try a virus sweep if this does'nt work go to my computer right click harddrive see how much space you have used if you have lots left then it is most likely a corrupt or missing file to repair this basicly you need to do a windows repair through the installation disk you should have been given with your machine hope this helps
