Internet Problems

Here is my most recent problem: I'm on AIM, and I want to change my password, so I go to My AIM -> Edit Options -> Change Password, and its suppose to bring me to a site, but the site won't load in IE or Firefox. I have this porblem with other sites too. Is this just for me or for everyone? There are other sites that will just not load in either IE or Firefox on my computer, but are fine on other computers. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and I don't think its the Internet connection since I use the same one for the upstairs computer. What should I do to fix this? (I have Windows XP, Optimum Online ISP) Thanks.
