Can't Install Hardware [ RUNDLL ERROR ]

Okay, i'm trying to install a USB midiman in my computer but everytime I stick in the USB Plug instead of asking to Install New Hardware an error alert pops up saying " Run a DLL As an APP has encountered a problem and needs to be close. We are sorry for the inconvenience " I read a lot of different sites about the problem but it seems everybody had the problem during system startup, desktop and add and remove panel. I am only having this error when I try to add hardware. Can anybody help me or link me to another forums where I can ask this question ?
