Computer Clock Problem

Post by kselin »

Hello, My system clock seems to be corrupted or something. We had installed panda antivirus software trial version. Since it was for a limited time, I found a hacking software to crack the expiration date. What the hacking software did was, it made the computer clock get reset or am not sure, the clock hasnt worked properly since then. Removing and putting back the battery didnot solve it. Every time the bios needs to be updated with the correct time. The OS doesnt seem to be showing the proper time in the clock, resetting it in the BIOS or the OS, is only a temporary solution. I would appreciate all help in solving this problem. Thanks in advance. Regards, kselin.

If you can remove the software, compleatly, including the virus software. Install a copy of McAfee, Norton, or other virus program of you're choice. You will pay one way or the other for not paying. I find that with a little looking you can get virus software for free, or close to it. Most have rebate offers, use them.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.

We have actually reformatted the hard drive, installed everything from scratch, tried resetting the BIOS by removing the battery from the computer, but nothing has helped. Thanks. Regards, kselin.
