hardware help

Post by moonhog »

ok i know alot about software, but when it comes to hardware i barely know anything i bought a new computer i installed Neverwinter Nights on it, but it was very jumpy so i tried a different game, and that installed, but said my 'video card' didnt support 3d accelerator and could not continue first off, is a 'video card' the same as a graphics card, and, if so, would buying a better graphics card help? or if not what can i do to improve the situation? thanks alot

Yes by getting a better graphics card you will have better video. Better graphics cards also do more of the work, they have more memory on them, and that will take some of load off the processor.
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.
