listen the music from my computer on my Hi fi
listen the music from my computer on my Hi fi
Hi there!!
Now everything is about dowloading music and not anymore buying cd, so if I want to keep myself uptodate with the tecnologie what should I do?
I am thinking to tranfer all my cd on a hardrive ( external one)
What I would like, is the possibilities to connect my laptop to the stereo Hi Fi, better sound, and throught the Tv to make the selection of what I want to listen”¦
The same to see my digital pics.
So what do I need? Is that possible? Is that going to cost me a fortune? And if my hardrive is going to crashed, I am going to loose everything”¦
Any hardrive you recommend or you don’t here in uk?
thanks

I'm not sure about the shipping restrictions to the UK, but I would strongly recommend a Wester Digital Raptor This hard drive is available in 36.7g ($113 US) and a 74g version ($166 US)
These are extremely fast hard drives and run very quiet for the speeds they produce. You didn't mention whether or not you had SATA capabilities on your motherboard. If you mobo doesn't support SATA, then the Raptors won't work for ya.
If you are limited to using an IDE hard drive, I would then recommend Maxtor 80gig ($54 US)
Connecting to the Tv. I'm not sure what laptop you own, or any of it's specs, but you'll most likely need to purchase a video card that supports ViVo (video in, video out) And adding the video card to a laptop can be a horrendous chorse, sometimes impossible. You may need to take it to a reputable computer store to have added, unless you are extremely comfortable doing it yourself. (which is not recommened for a laptop)
Connecting to the HiFi. Same story with this issue. I'm not sure what hardware you have installed in the laptop currently, so hard to pinpoint your needs. I'm thinking that you might also need to purchase one of these to connect to the stereo/HiFi
Good Luck getting where ya want to be. Feel free to post again if ya have any further questions
