accessing the internet without a hard drive (laptop)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it possible to access the internet without having a hard drive on my laptop? I have been told that via networking I can access the internet. I will be using a cable to connect a Dell Desktop OS XP Home version & (not yet purchased) IBM laptop without a hard drive but a cd-rom. The internet is my main objective. Any assistance you may be able to give will be greatly appreciated.

You will have to have a boot CD with intenet explorer, and ample memory, could be done, but you would be better off with a hard drive
