Another computer problem - DVD burning- DVD shrink

Ok, this site is my last chance. I tried other help sites.. but.. well i got kicked off for not readign the rules.. so heres my problem OK.. I recently found out that we have a dvd burner.. and i got a dvd off a frend to try it out. We have dvd shrink that says in the manual that it has "special algorythens to overcome decryption" so i put in my dvd go to open disk and it analyses it until it gets to around 64% and then it says" failed to read drive E and data error cylic redundancy check" well thats my two cents.. please help.. ive had the dvd fir about 2 months and my frends getting anoyed thankyou anyone for reading this far and thinking about it this much thankyou
