From the Dell web site
Memory
Architecture SDRAM
Memory module capacities 16-, 32-, and 64-MB SODIMM
Standard RAM 32 MB (consisting of 16 MB of nonremovable main memory on the main board and a 16-MB memory module in one of the 2 memory module sockets)
Maximum RAM 144 MB
Memory access time/clock frequency 66 MHz
BIOS address F000:0000
If I could remember all I have forgotten, I would be a smart man.

With that much processor power, sounds like it can handle pc3200, or possibly pc4000 if you're a high end gamer. It should be able to run 2Gb fine.
