Laptop Hangs 1min With Wireless Connection after Logon

I've have 2 IBM latops and with both I've had the same problem. When I log on it takes about 1 min for the desktop to load when I try and connect wireless. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before? It didn't do this when I first got them but after loading software I've noticed it. I couldn't tell you which software cuz I have quite a bit. I've reloaded the TCP stack and have the latest drivers for both the internal and wireless nic's. Just wondering if any one has seen this before...... Thx..
