A serious problem with games

Hi, im havein' a quite big problem with most of my games, i mean like, allmost everything if not all is red. or there are diagonal red lines, but everything is ok when i run the games in software mode. i have the msot basic driver, becuse when i got the newest driver, it only made it worse. my system specs: Intel Celeron 2.40GhZ 256 Mb RAM nvidia geforce 128 mb fx 5200 direct x 9.0c any help?
