Different EEPROM Patchers

Post by Guest »

I have found 3 different EEPROM patchers while searching for 411to811 stuff.

The first is the one included in the package I got from ccb056.
The second one looks just like it but says v3.0 in the opened dialog.
And the third one is a command line tool called patcher_v4.exe

They all patch the EEPROM differently, which I noticed when I patched my backup EEPROM and then compared the files in WinHex.
Which one should I use, as they don't patch the same amounts of bytes either.
You care to comment on this?

The v4 Patcher I gave you is the official Zebra Patch, the v3 patcher is probably Zebra's v3 patch, as far as the other v4 patch, I am not sure what it is

As long as you backup your ORIGINAL eeprom, you can expirement with different patchers and test the results, if certain patchers give you better results that others, I would recomend you use those patchers.

The other v4 patcher, can you give me some information on it?

Thanks, I'll try 'em out and post some results later this week.
As far as the patcher_v4.exe goes, it looks to be the same as
the one that was included in your package. I'll try some more
file-compares and will let you know later.
