DVD+/-RW Lite-On LDW-851S/Quit Reading and Writing CD/ CD-R

Hi,
I am having a problem with my DVD writer.(Lite On LDW-851s.) It will read and write DVD's..but is have trouble
reading Music Cd and Writing CD-R's...
Has been working..just started this..
I was copying a music CD and it got 89% done and just stop writing..
Now it will not read them or write..I have used a Lens Cleaner CD..didn't work
I then download the new Firmware for the 851s , went from GS0C to GS0H,
and install, didn't help..have uninstall Nero and Re-install, didn't work...
I'm using Windows XP Pro. SP1
Nero Burning Rom 6.3.1.6
ASPI 1.7

Some music CD's have copy protections built in, this will try to prevent you from copying the cd. I would recomend you look for ClonyXXL, download it, and run it to see if your CD has any protections. Also, I would recomend you use CloneCD from SlySoft to copy the CD, CloneCD much better at copying CDs that Nero. Also, what brand of CD-R are you using, and can you burn the CD on another burner?

I have try Clone CD v4.2.0.2...I put in a CD in the writer ( Music or Data ) click on next..The writer light comes on ( Green ) cd spins..and stop after 15 to 20 seconds ,while...Clone Cd said waiting on Lite-On LDW-851S
Nothing happens after that..I hit cancel...
I have been using Sony, Memorex, and other CD-R's..they have always
work till now...
Can still Read and write DVD-R...just will not read a CD, or CD-R
( Recored ) or Blank...

Well, If the drive cannot burn any type of CD, I would recomend returning it as the CD Burning laser is probably bad, or something happened to this chipset or eeprom.
