That may be a bit on the "extreme" (couldn't refuse the pun ) But it deffiantly does take out the P4 3.4 EE in almost every benchmark used in the reviews. Even Encoding and rendering is either really close or even, so the P4 has pretty much lost any advantage that it did have (aka there is now NO reason to purchase a high end P4 over an Athlon), sad thing is they hve nothing to counter with. And since the appropriate RAM for them to give it another BUS bump is rare and expensive, that takes a big factor that they normally would have relied on.
