Computer Crash!!! need help
i know that i had a couple of virises..but every time i turn on my computer it goes to the windows xp startup screen like usual & then it just restarts itsef. i dont have the power to do anything...what do i do? i tried pressing f8 before the "windows xp" loading screen comes up & using all the options like "safe mode", "restore to when system was last working". but no matter what i do it always restarts right before the "log in" screen.....

Ok if you have a McAfee or Norton virus disk you can boot from them and do a virus scan. Press the delete key on boot up, go to advanced settings, change the boot order to CD first. Now do a virus scan from the disk on you're main drive. You should try and fix the Master Boot Record with the Windows disk, I have included a link for the instructions, print it out if you can and follow the instuctions. Let us know how things turn out.
